Collin County’s second largest city and county seat, McKinney, is located about 30 miles north of Dallas. Although McKinney is close to Dallas, the suburb has a distinct small Texas town atmosphere.
McKinney is one of the fastest growing cities in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and is currently the 16th largest city in Texas. In 2014, McKinney was rated #1 by Money Magazine as “Best Place to Live” in America.
McKinney has been a unique place to live since the beginning. These qualities are the same qualities that attract thousands of people each year to move their homes and businesses to McKinney. The streets are beautiful and lined with gorgeous old and young trees. The McKinney public school system is fantastic and includes three high schools. There is also a very picturesque downtown square that includes tons of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
Although McKinney has tons of factors that make it the best place to live, it’s the people that make this town one in a million. McKinney residents are friendly, giving, and always ready to lend a helping hand.
